    FAT 0030/09 (Vujanic v/ MBC Dynamo Moscow)

    Follow up: 02 dec 2009. Following FIBA’s intervention, the club MBC Dynamo Moscow honoured the FAT award and paid the adjudicated amounts to the claimant. As a result, FIBA lifted the ban on registration of new players which was imposed on the Club on 29 June 2009.

    Following FIBA’s intervention, the club MBC Dynamo Moscow honoured the FAT award and paid the adjudicated amounts to the claimant. As a result, FIBA lifted the ban on registration of new players which was imposed on the Club on 29 June 2009.

    In view of the fact that MBC Dynamo Moscow continues to be in breach of its obligation to honour the FAT award, FIBA imposed on the club a ban on registration of new players.

    Summary of the case:
    The Serbian player Milos Vujanic filed a claim against the Russian club MBC Dynamo Moscow for outstanding salary payments in connection with an employment contract.

    Despite several invitations by the FAT, MBC Dynamo Moscow did not make any submissions.

    Nevertheless, the Arbitrator proceeded with the arbitration and ordered the club to pay the requested amounts to the player.
