Summary of the case:
The Serbian player Ratko Varda and the player's agent Obrad Fimic filed a claim against the Lithuanian club Vsl Kauno Zalgirio Remejas for outstanding salaries, agent's fees and compensation for breach of contract.
The player requested full payment of his salaries for the entire 2008/2009 season alleging that the club breached the contract by not paying his salaries.
In its answer, the club denied in part the above claims submitting that the player breached his contractual duties by late arrival, by faking an injury, by refusing to participate in a Euroleague Game and by failing to appear before the club's medical commission.
Also, the club submitted that the player had already entered into a new employment contract.
The claim was partially upheld.
