AMSTERDAM (Netherlands) – Fabian Giessmann of Baskets Bonn (GER) delivered a spectacular all-around performance at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Amsterdam 2026, earning Most Valuable Player honors after leading his team to a historic breakthrough WT win.
Giessmann was the driving force behind Baskets Bonn's first-ever FIBA 3x3 World Tour triumph. The 21-year-old German powerhouse consistently rose to the occasion throughout the weekend, helping Bonn navigate a loaded field before completing their memorable run on Sunday.
When the stakes were highest, Giessmann produced on both ends of the half-court. Whether it was scoring in the paint, protecting the rim or controlling the glass, the versatile German repeatedly made winning plays.
The numbers underline just how dominant he was. Giessmann finished the tournament as the leading scorer with 50 total points and also topped the player value rankings with 56.5. He recorded a tournament-best three double-fives and added a triple-five, showcasing his ability to impact every aspect of the game.
He also ranked among the event leaders in several major categories, finishing second in rebounds (21), blocks (5) and dunks (5) while serving as the centerpiece of Bonn's victorious performance.
Giessmann's outstanding play earned him the MVP trophy, presented following the Final in Amsterdam. It was a fitting reward for a player who delivered one of the most complete individual displays of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2026 season.
