Everything you need to know about the EuroCup Women Qualifiers

MUNICH (Germany) - The new EuroCup Women season is about to land, with clubs from across the continent ready to launch their bid to make the Regular Season with a productive Qualifiers campaign.

Here's our guide to everything you need to know.

When do the Qualifiers start?

There are five places available in the EuroCup Women Regular Season, with the Qualifiers draw producing five exciting matchups.

Each tie will be played on a home-and-away basis, with the first meetings scheduled to take place between Wednesday, September 23 and Friday, September 25. The return games will follow the next week, on either Wednesday, September 30 or Thursday, October 1. The full Qualifiers schedule, including tip-off times, is available on the Games page.

What are the Qualifiers pairings?

BAXI Ferrol (ESP) vs BC Beroe Stara Zagora (BUL)

Ferrol made history a couple of seasons ago with a fairytale run all the way to the title game, eventually finishing as runners-up. They will rely on returning duo Gala Mestres and Claire Melia to provide continuity.

BC Beroe Stara Zagora will be looking to Aleksandra Katanic, Bre Gunnels and Natalie Kucowski to fuel their challenge.

Levhartice Chomutov (CZE) vs C'Chartres Metropole Basket Feminin (FRA)

The depth of French side C'Chartres Metropole could give them the edge as they look to the experience of Jasmine Bailey and Ana Maria Filip, as well as the strength of Assitan Kone.

Levhartice Chomutov, however, have plenty of EuroCup Women know-how themselves in Michaela Krejzova, Valentýna Kadlecova and veteran guard Katerina Bartonova.

Elitzur Ramle (ISR) vs Proteas Voulas (GRE)

Elitzur Ramle have made plenty of noise in the competition over the years, but this time must navigate the Qualifiers. They will look to the frontcourt power of Ana Pocek, as well as the returning Kiki Herbert Harrigan, to lead the way.

As underdogs, Proteas will hope Gemma Nunez, Mya Perry and Christeen Iwuala shine and help create an upset.

Saarlouis Royals (GER) vs Ravens de Geneve (SUI)

Saarlouis will be aiming to book their place in the Regular Season behind German national team member Emma Eichmeyer and the talented Oliana Squires. They will also have valuable support from Finland international Elina Koskimies.

EuroCup Women debutantes Geneve will pin their hopes on Caleigh Walsh and Vivine Defosset making an impact.

GEAS Basket (ITA) vs Impulso 360 Estepona (ESP)

Netherlands point guard Laura Cornelius looks set to be a key figure for GEAS Basket with her leadership and experience, while Denmark national team forward Julianna Okosun will be hoping to move up a gear at club level.

For ambitious Estepona, look out for Argentina playmaker Melisa Gretter pulling the strings, with forward Tinara Moore another important presence.
