Which players to watch out for?
Several international-caliber stars will be representing their respective teams. American guard Michael Smith is also a key piece for the team.
Flamengo will rely on two members of Brazil’s national team, Gui Deodato and Alexey Borges—last year’s Final Four MVP—who lead the charge. They are joined by center Wesley Ferreira, Argentina national team shooting guard Álex Negrete, and experienced scorer Shaquille Johnson. Other Brazilian national team standouts will suit up for SESI Franca, including Georginho De Paula, Lucas Dias, and Cristiano Felicio. Opponents will also need to keep an eye on tireless veterans David Jackson, Corderro Bennett, and Rafa Mineiro. Panamanian player Luis Rodríguez Jr. has emerged as another key contributor in the rotation. Nacional, the least experienced team at this stage but the only unbeaten one entering the Final Four, will count on the strength of their imports Connor Zinaich, James Feldeine, and Ernesto Oglivie. Meanwhile, Uruguay national team players such as Luciano Parodi, Patricio Prieto, Gianfranco Espíndola, and Pablo Gómez have provided the ideal support.
