MUNICH (Germany) - HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim secured their place in the FIBA Europe Cup Quarter-Finals on Tuesday night, while Unahotels Reggio Emilia missed their own chance to advance.

The German side improved to 3-2 in Group J as they crucially claimed the head-to-head over Kyiv-Basket to guarantee a top-two finish, while Reggio Emilia saw their perfect Second Round end with two games still to play.

TJ Shorts starred for Crailsheim in their 82-62 victory over Kyiv-Basket after recording an all-round display with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. The hosts also had a game-high 16 points from Terrell Harris, while Maurice Stuckey also weighed in with 14 points.

Crailsheim set the tone with a 28-8 opening quarter and their lead peaked at 23 points as they enjoyed a memorable night to cruise through to the next stage.

Meanwhile, Telenet Giants Antwerp pulled off another win as they produced a dominant performance to upset Reggio Emilia. The Belgian side ran out emphatic 101-59 winners, despite already being eliminated from last eight contention.

Markel Brown led the rout with an impressive 26 points with 7-of-10 shooting from three-point range, while Elvar Fridriksson was one of three others in double figures; narrowly missing out on a double-double with 10 points and 9 assists.

Reggio Emilia can secure their place in the Quarter-Finals - and as group winners - if they beat Crailsheim on Friday, otherwise they will then be in a straight shootout with Kyiv-Basket next week.
