Slovenia vs Croatia
Both teams will be eager to bounce back from heavy opening-day defeats and get their campaigns on track.
Czech Republic vs Latvia
Latvia steamrolled Netherlands on Day 1 while Czech Republic found their neighbours Slovak Republic a bit more bothersome. Both teams will have high hopes for the tournament and will be looking for a crucial victory to benefit their seeding.
Spain vs Belgium
Belgium overcame a slow start to beat Lithuania impressively, while defending champions Spain struggled in the fourth quarter before pulling away from Serbia at the end. Belgium will fancy their chances of testing the Spanish team.
Russia vs Turkey
This might not be the strongest Russian team but they showed their quality in the fourth quarter against Italy. They will need to rise again to match the power in Turkey’s frontline, which impressively dismantled Israel.
Israel vs Italy
Italy suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Russian team, while Israel were overwhelmed in their match against Turkey. It will be intriguing to see which team can recover best from their opening-day disappointment.
France vs Hungary
The host nation will have been fully aware of the quality of France, who are chasing a sixth successive final appearance at this level. But the way in which France destroyed Croatia on Day 1 presents Hungary’s coach Judit Balogh with a tough task for this match.
Lithuania vs Serbia
Serbia had their match with Spain tied up in the fourth quarter, but their offence failed them down the stretch. They need to bounce back against Lithuania, who showed some good signs before being overrun in their match against Belgium.
Netherlands vs Slovak Republic
Both teams struggled offensively on Day 1, and the decisive factor could well come down to which team is able to find a fix in their second match.
