MADRID (FIBA U18 European Championship 2016) - Spain's roster for the FIBA U18 European Championship 2016 features a quintet of players who finished in third place in their generation's FIBA U16 European Championship two summers ago.

Victor Moreno was the leading scorer on the U16 team from 2014, when Spain beat Turkey in the 3rd-Place Game in Riga. The forward also is the only player on the squad who played at the FIBA U18 European Championship 2015.

The other four players re-joining forces with Moreno from the U16 team are Maxim Esteban, Pol Figueras, Aleix Font and Sergi Martinez.

While Moreno brings with him the experience of the FIBA U18 European Championship from 2015, the 17-year-old Martinez starred at the FIBA U17 World Championship 2016, being named to the All-Star Five of the tournament.

Head coach Luis Guil, who guided Spain’s U18 last summer in Volos, also nominated one more 1999-born player in Ignacio Rosa, who was the last player cut from the U17 team earlier this year.

Spain will be facing Croatia, Sweden and Italy in Group A.
