    Kursk keep rolling, last eight spot is secured

    The reigning champions had their spot in the Quarter-Finals officially confirmed on Wednesday after defeats suffered by Galatasaray and ESBVA-LM.

    Kursk extend their lead at the top of Group A with Sopron dropping to a 6-4 record alongside ZVVZ USK Praha in joint second.

    Sonja Petrovic netted a game-high 22 points and handed out 5 assists with Angel McCoughtry adding 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting, with three other players also hitting double figures for the hosts.

    After edging the opening exchanges, Kursk pulled away with a 27-17 second period and they would win all four quarters en route to victory with Yvonne Turner leading the visitors with 13 points.

    Meanwhile, Famila Schio took control of fourth spot in Group B with a 78-64 home win against Nadezhda behind a 25-point display from Isabelle Yacoubou.

    The Italian side used a dominant third quarter effort to gain the upper-hand and were able to close out the win to leave their opponents 2-8.

    Seven of the remaining places in the last eight will be decided over the final four weeks of the Regular Season.
