ISTANBUL (EuroLeague Women) - Fenerbahce have strengthened their roster with the addition of the experienced Italy national team standout, Giorgia Sottana.
The player will offer Fenerbahace useful combo-guard skills as the Turkish giants continue in their quest to land that elusive maiden EuroLeague Women title.
A former long-serving participant in the competition at Famila Schio, Sottana moved outside of her homeland for the first time in her career last summer when she switched to BLMA.
Despite some very impressive numbers and performances from the 29-year-old guard [who has since been replaced by Sugar Rodgers], BLMA are struggling as the only EuroLeague Women team with just a solitary win to their name this season.
In contrast, Fenerbahce have already sealed a Quarter-Finals ticket and are co-leaders of Group B with city rivals Yakin Dogu Universitesi, who are also 9-2.
