VALENCIA (Euroleague) - CSKA Moscow are officially in crisis following an 82-57 demolition at Power Electronics Valencia on Wednesday night.
The defeat was a third straight in the Euroleague for CSKA, who have been riddled with injuries this season.
There were also wins for BC Khimki, Olympiacos, Zalgiris, Efes Pilsen, Brose Baskets Bamberg and Montepaschi Siena.
Valencia's Lithuania international center Robertas Javtokas had 15 points and seven rebounds in their rout of CSKA.
The Spanish, who have been missing key players themselves and lost games to Panathinaikos and Efes Pilsen to start the competition, stormed into a 30-18 by the end of the opening quarter.
After going to the break on top by 13, they blew the game wide open in the third quarter by outscoring CSKA 23-10 for a 65-39 stranglehold on proceedings.
There was no way back for CSKA.
Dusko Vujosevic has had a nightmare start to coaching CSKA after a successful spell at Partizan Belgrade.
He questioned the heart of his team.
"Today we didn’t play with the professionalism that this competition demands," he said.
"We played bad defense and we need to have a serious talk about our problems."
Valencia coach Manuel Hussein was elated.
"Today we played an aggressive game with high concentration, offensive balance and good ball movement,” he said.
“We were focused from the beginning and did not have any blackouts."
BC Khimki boss Sergio Scariolo beat a team he once coached as the Moscow Region club won 64-60 over Caja Laboral.
Keith Langford had 19 points, four rebounds and four assists in the victory.
Stanko Barac had 12 points and 12 rebounds but turned the ball over a game-high six times for Caja Laboral.
Barac earlier this week signed a three-year extension with Caja Laboral that will keep him at the club through the 2014-15 campaign.
Zalgiris led by as many as 17 in the second quarter and were still on top by 10 with six minutes remaining but needed overtime to beat winless Asseco Prokom, 74-68.
Tomas Delininkaitis hit a three-ball with 27 seconds to go and the Kaunas fans then breathed a sigh of relief as Daniel Ewing missed a potential game-winning shot in the waning moments.
Martynas Pocius provided the inspiration for Zalgiris in the extra period when he scored five of his game-high 18 points and also handed out an assist.
In other games, Olympiacos thrashed Unicaja 93-66, Efes Pilsen defeated Armani Jeans Milano 82-74, Brose Baskets Bamberg hammered Spirou Charleroi 79-69 and Montepaschi Siena destroyed Cibona Zagreb 80-57.
