BELGRADE (Euroleague) - Partizan Belgrade wrote another chapter in what is becoming a remarkable season for the Serbian giants on Wednesday night by upsetting Regal Barcelona in the Euroleague Top 16.

One week removed from their victory at defending European champions Panathinaikos, Dusko Vujosevic's Partizan edged previously unbeaten Barca in overtime at the Pionir, 67-66.

Partizan led 35-24 half-time but trailed 47-43 entering the last quarter.

They fought back to win with Jan Vesely the hero.

The Czech international had 13 points and 15 rebounds for Partizan.

Czech international big man Vesely said: "We played extraordinary defense. We were struggling hard all the way, and I think we deserved that win."

Partizan survived a close call at the end of overtime as a potential game-winning hook shot at the death by Pete Mickael was ruled no basket after referees looked at the video replay.

Lawrence Roberts finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for Partizan, with Aleksandar Rasic scoring 11 and handing out six assists.

Partizan dominated the boards, out-rebounding Barcelona 47-32.

Barcelona were a perfect 19 of 19 at the line.

Jaka Lakovic led Barca with 14 points and nearly won the game at the end of regulation but his shot went in and out.

Croatia national team center Mario Kasun had one of his best performances in the Euroleague, scoring a season-high 17 points and pulling down nine boards to lead Efes Pilsen to an 88-78 win over Montepaschi Siena.

Asseco Prokom are also having a terrific campaign. The Polish giants improved to 2-0 in the Top 16 with a 70-50 drubbing of Unicaja Malaga in Spain.

Olympiacos and CSKA Moscow were also big winners.

The Reds won at home over BC Khimki, 87-69, and CSKA trounced Zalgiris in Kaunas, 83-68.
