    Spanish eyes are smiling, buzzer-beater for Landes, history for Roche Vendee

    MUNICH (Germany) - It was a perfect evening for Spanish clubs on Wednesday night, while Basket Landes celebrated a dramatic success on the road and Roche Vendee inked a historic result.

    Perfumerias Avenida, Valencia Basket and Cadi La Seu all flew the flag brilliantly for their country by all recording victories on a great night for Spanish basketball.

     Valencia were dominant in a 75-44 triumph at home to Namur, while EuroLeague Women regulars Avenida are also yet to experience a loss after they flew past Uni Gyor Mely-UT by 83-43. Cadi La Seu racked up the hat-trick for Spain by fending off PEAC-Pecs 89-57.

    It was a landmark night for Roche Vendee BC as the French newcomers registered their maiden EuroCup Women success. They did it in style as they blew away Voo Liege Panthers 90-51 with Bernadette Ngoyisa showing out with 25 points and 7 rebounds.

    The most dramatic contest came in Miskolc as the DVTK home supporters were left gutted by a buzzer-beater from Romana Hejdova of Basket Landes as the visitors snatched the game 72-71. As well as Hejdova ladning the killer blow, Celine Dumerc impressed with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 steals.

    Elsewhere, Orman Genlik are yet to lose as they smashed their way past domestic rivals Bellona Kayseri Basketbol 87-63. Arike Ogunbowale continued her scoring run with another 26 points, while Courtney Paris amassed 18 rebounds and Angelica Robinson starred with 20 points and 6 steals.

    The Moscow derby was edged by MBA 62-60 in a thriller at home to Sparta&K, with the home side retaining their unbeaten record thanks mainly to 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists from Anastasia Logunova.

    In other games, Olympiacos were big 93-53 winners against the visiting CEKK Cegled, with fan favorite Pinelopi Pavlopoulou providing the highlight of the night. KSC Szekszard rolled over their guests, Rutronik Stars Keltern 83-48 and Carolo Basket were too hot to handle for Elfic Fribourg as they prevailed 96-64.
