Namur head coach Philip Mestdagh didn't know whether to laugh or cry in Krasnoyarsk after his team were sunk 69-58 at Enisey. However, having been down by as many as 24 points at one stage, they have at least given themselves a shot at progressing.

He explained: "I think Enisey deserved to win and in a certain moment at 23 or 24 points down, it was very complicated for us.

"But, I need to thank my players, as we made a small effort at the end. We still have a return to play now as it had looked impossible. It was a rough trip, but we need to handle it. Next week, Enisey must handle that as well," added the play-caller.

At least Namur made the most of the Siberian snow during a tricky road test!

There were also some wintry Russian delights for Mersin who came away from MBA Moscow with an 81-66 triumph.

That gave Sasa Cado and the Mersin players more time to relax after the game and enjoy some spectacular festive lights in the capital!

ACS Sepsi and their supporters have gained a big reputation for the noise and passion they show, so it was one of the most special nights in the club's history as they collected a spectacular result.

A late burst cemented a famous and memorable 59-55 victory against Greek giants Olympiacos, with the Romanians giving themselves a shot at progressing when they head to Athens for the return game.

Artego Bydgoszcz have put one foot in the Round of 16 as they claimed a huge 86-68 road win at DVTK, although playmaker Julie McBride has warned against any complacency.

She said: "We started the game great and we were able to earn a huge advantage.

"Miskolc didn't give up and they disturbed us with their zone defense. Altogether our team played both on defense and offense very successfully, but we must focus on playing at the same level in the next game at home."
