Exciting Prezelj good enough to deliver in Gorzow
GORZOW (EuroCup Women) – If you’re drawing up a watch-list for EuroCup Women then sharpen your pencil and put Slovenian rising star Annamaria Prezelj somewhere near the top line.

It's already been a landmark calendar year for the young and highly-rated guard, with things showing no signs of slowing down as she prepares for her first pro-season outside of her homeland at Gorzow.
The Polish side are a former EuroLeague Women club and have made a return to European club competition with high hopes that Prezelj can play a prominent role in putting them back on the map. That is also evidenced by the fact they have handed her a three-year deal.
The 20-year-old has been a central cog in a couple of historic achievements for her country during recent months. Firstly, she hit the floor at Slovenia's first-ever Final Round appearance and helped them take a maiden win at FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017 in Prague.

Then she was the heartbeat of yet more history as she powered Slovenia to their first-ever medal at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship by taking silver in Matosinhos after upsetting France in the Semi-Finals.
Her eye-catching efforts led to her being named in the prestigious All-Star Five after pouring in almost 17 points per game.
A leader throughout her teenage years and a hugely capable scorer, the transition to the hard-nosed world of EuroCup Women is going to be fascinating, but many will be backing Prezelj to be a big hit.
She has the temperament, maturity, drive and skills to make a splash and she is just the type of new arrival that should perfectly suit an ever-growing, quality competition like EuroCup Women.
Gorzow will play in Group A against Besiktas JK, Olympiacos and TTT Riga
