HRADEC KRALOVE/PRAGUE (FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017) – Maria Vadeeva just loves The Final Round after she finished day one of EuroBasket Women 2017 as the top performer.

Shining brightly as a 16-year-old two years ago, the teenager was on top form again after racking up 15 points and 12 rebounds in Russia's hard-fought 71-59 win against Latvia.

Sancho Lyttle made her return to Spanish colors after her Rio injury absence and wasted little time in making her authority felt with 17 points and 12 rebounds as the 2013 champions moved past Hungary 62-48.

Angelica Robinson was hit a high gear for Montenegro with a mammoth 19 points and 17 rebounds, but suffered a gut-wrenching 66-64 setback against Belgium.

Evanthia Maltsi lit it up for Greece in a famous 69-60 win against holders Serbia after an all-action 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

She is joined in the backcourt by Barbora Balintova who couldn't prevent Slovak Republic falling 69-58 to Turkey, although she did excel with 17 points and 9 assists.
