HRADEC KRALOVE / PRAGUE (FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017) - Quanitra Hollingsworth repaid coach Ekrem Memnun for his faith in giving her a spot in his final 12, burning Italy with 29 points and 21 rebounds for an efficiency of 35.

Fighting for the naturalized spot in the Turkey team with Lara Sanders, the center was immense on Saturday evening, as the 2016 Olympians held on 54-53 over Italy to secure top billing in Group B.

It was another typical shining performance from Spanish wing Alba Torrens who finished Day 2 with an efficiency of 30.

The Rio silver-medalists improved to 2-0, pulling away from a determined Ukrainian outfit in the second half for a flattering 76-54 victory. Torrens spearheaded the attack with 26 points and 8 rebounds.

Despite being on the losing side in the clash with Turkey, Cecilia Zandalasini, still managed an efficiency of 30, with a fine 23-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Putting in a majestic shift for Latvia was Elina Babkina. The shooting guard spurred Latvia to a rousing comeback from 15 points adrift with 27 points and 7 assists.

It was a tough night for hosts Czech Republic, waving good-bye to the tournament a little over 24 hours from their opening tip-off, with a Day 2 loss to Hungary sealing their fate. Central to Hungary's win was the backcourt leadership from veteran playmaker Zsofia Fegyverneky, who finished with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
