Perhaps the most significant moment was host nation Czech Republic being eliminated from the tournament after being beaten by Hungary. Yet Ilona Burgrova was looking beyond the immediate despair and focusing on thanking a terrific home crowd that may inspire a new generation in her home city.
As for Hungary, they were thrilled and Dora Medgyessy went for the celebration selfie in the locker room!
Slovenia made history with their first-ever win at the Final Round as they came back to beat Greece on Day 2. What a moment it was for Eva Lisec who celebrated her birthday with the ideal gift.
They got some high praise too, in the shape of 'The Dragon'.
Zgodovinski dan za slovenske košarkarice!!! 💪🏼Prva zmaga na EP, več kot zasluženo!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 @kzs_si @evalisec @tejaoblak3 @BaricNika 🇸🇮

One of the most impressive performers so far [as expected] has been the explosive Alina Iagupova of Ukraine.
Italy have had a mixed bag after losing their great veteran Laura Macchi to a suspected broken jaw sustained against Turkey. Thankfully, the next generation looks ready to step up, with Cecilia Zandalasini having posted two great displays on her debut at the Final Round.
The most exciting game of the competition?
Well, there has been so much choice, but Belgium beating Russia by a point in overtime was special and memorable.
This little man did great in the media conference too, with his legendary mum, Ann Wauters.

Finally, there is also a strong sense of excitement off the court with so many fans in attendance from across Europe.
