    EuroBasket Women 2017 Qualifiers drawn

    MUNICH (EuroBasket Women 2017) - The draw for the EuroBasket Women 2017 Qualifiers concluded in Munich, Germany on Saturday.

    MUNICH (EuroBasket Women 2017) - The draw for the EuroBasket Women 2017 Qualifiers concluded in Munich, Germany on Saturday.

    Thirty three participating teams were drawn into nine groups - six groups of four teams and three groups of three teams.

    Title holders Serbia were drawn in Group D together with Ukraine, Germany and Luxembourg.

    EuroBasket Women 2015 runners-up France, will feature in Group B alongside Croatia, Estonia and the Netherlands.

    Bronze medallists Spain will have a deja vu against Sweden, who they met at the recent EuroBasket and in previous Qualifiers.

    Belarus were pitched against Poland and Belgium in Group G while Turkey have a tricky Group H, featuring Romania, Israel and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    Russia, in Group F, will meet Greece, Bulgaria and Switzerland.

    The nine (9) Group winners and six (6) best second-placed teams will advance to EuroBasket Women 2017 in Czech Republic. The host country is guaranteed an automatic spot.

    To determine the six best second-placed teams from the nine groups, the results against the fourth placed teams in the groups consisting of four teams will be discarded. 

    The qualifiers will start this coming November and their six game days be played in three windows within the club season as follows:
    Game days 1 and 2 on 21 and 25 November 2015
    Game days 3 and 4 on 20 and 24 February 2016
    Game days 5 and 6 on 19 and 23 November 2016
