    2011 World Championships

    Team Characteristics
Good team concept on both ends of the floor. Play to their strengths and use their post players on consistent basic. Will be patient to get best shot and work hard on defensive end. Block out and rebound well. Use floor spacing to their advantage making it difficult for defense to react and cover ground. Inside/outside game helps create mis-matches and posts ups on the block.

    Offensive Tendencies
Fundamentally sound offensive team with several players capable of scoring. Good passing and versatile posts help spread the defense and create mis-matches and difficult close outs and recovery. Good shooters from the perimeter. Run sets for post to get on perimeter for open shots. Do good job of finding the open man on penetration and use quick on ball screens to get to the paint.

    Transition
Can score on a quick break as well as slower break. Work hard to secure the defensive rebound first before pushing ball up floor. Main opportunities come from creating turovers with their half court defense.

    Set Plays
    1.    Back screen, down screen, on ball screen for shot.
    2.    High post entry, post drives over on ball screen, screener rolls to basket.
    3.    Back screen, staggered single screen, hand off.
    4.    High on ball screen two man action.
    5.    Wing entry, hand off, back screen, back door cut and pass.

    Out of Bounds
Goal is to get ball to shooter or post off quick action then set up and pound the ball inside.

    Zone Offense
4 out/1 in offense that can become 3 out/2 in. Posts step out up high to screen top of zone.

    Defense Tendencies
Being physical is the best part of their defense. Inside players in particular bang inside and attack the ball on peneteration. Good defensive rebounding team.

    Zone Defense
Very active 2-3 zone defense. Two perimeter players on top cover top spots and the wings. Good communication by all players in zone.
