ESP – Teletovic blow for Caja Laboral

VITORIA (Euroleague) - Caja Laboral's Bosnia and Herzegovina international Mirza Teletovic is doubtful for Thursday’s crunch Euroleague Top 16 encounter with Lietuvos Rytas in Vilnius because of a left knee problem.

Teletovic played against Barcelona on Saturday but after being on the court for less than 19 minutes, he had to come out of the game.

Following tests, Caja Laboral have revealed he has patellar tendinitis in his left knee.

The loss of Teletovic would be a huge blow for Baskonia because the 25-year-old forward has averaged 15.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in the Euroleague.

He had 20 points in the first meeting with Lietuvos Rytas in Vitoria, a Top 16 game won by the Lithuanian club when Khalid El-Amin hit a long three-pointer at the buzzer.

Caja Laboral back-up center Pape Sow is also doubtful because he has bronchitis.

Baskonia need to rally the troops because they were trashed by Barcelona, 89-66, to fall to seventh in the ACB at 12-10.
