    Both teams had however already qualified for the quarterfinals.

    The defeat left Russia in the No 3 spot behind Spain and the US, and pitted them against Argentina in the quarterfinals.

    Spain take on Lithuania.

    Vanessa Ble was the other notable scorer for Spain with 14 points.

    Tatiana Petrushina was the highest scorer for Russia with 13 points.
