    ESP - Ricoh Manresa win second division crown in Spain

    LEON (LEB) - Ricoh Manresa have been crowned champions of the Spanish second division after beating Climalia Leon in the LEB play-off final. Both clubs had already secured their promotion to the ACB courtesy of just reaching the final, but Ricoh will go up as top dogs following their 94-88 win at Leon's Palacio Municipal De Los Deportes.

    LEON (LEB) - Ricoh Manresa have been crowned champions of the Spanish second division after beating Climalia Leon in the LEB play-off final.

    Both clubs had already secured their promotion to the ACB courtesy of just reaching the final, but Ricoh will go up as top dogs following their 94-88 win at Leon's Palacio Municipal De Los Deportes.

    Hosts Leon looked to be on course for victory as they built a six-point lead by half-time, but Ricoh dominated the second half - winning both of the final two quarters by a six-point margin - to secure the victory.

    MVP Joshua Asselin led Ricoh with a game-high 23 points, seven rebounds and one assist, while he received good support from team-mates Juan Alberto Espil (21 points) and Guillermo Vergara (19 points and seven rebounds).

    For Leon, Javier Bulfoni poured in 22 points - including five of seven three-pointers - and grabbed five rebounds, and Rick Hughes contributed 17 points, six rebounds and two assists.
