BARCELONA/VALENCIA (2010 FIBA World Championship) - Spanish internationals Juan Carlos Navarro and Victor Claver have been rewarded for their impressive play for Regal FC Barcelona and Power Electronics Valencia respectively.
Navarro was named Euroleague's Most Valuable Player for the month of April after helping Barcelona make it back to the Final Four.
'La Bomba' led his team to impressive away wins in Games 3 and 4 of their quarter-final clash with rivals Real Madrid.
After being held to just four points in Game 2, the 29-year-old broke out for 24 in the next game and followed that up with 21 to book Barcelona's trip to Paris.
Navarro had the hot hand, hitting 16 of 25 field goal attempts - including eight of 14 from three-point territory - over the course of the two crucial wins in Palacio Vistalegre.
Meanwhile, Claver was the recipient of the second annual Eurocup Rising Star Trophy after he helped Power Electronics Valencia reach the last four of the competition.
The award is given to the best player under the age of 22. Hemofarm Stada's Milan Macvan was the inaugural recipient of the trophy last season.
Claver is the only Valencia player to have featured in all 14 Eurocup games to date and has displayed his versatility by ranking fifth on the team in scoring (8.9 points), second in rebounding (5.2) and third in assists (1.9).
