MADRID (ACB) - Real Madrid have tied up their sensational 20-year-old rookie Nikola Mirotic through the 2015-16 season.
The Montenegrin-born forward, a big reason why Madrid have reached the Euroleague Final Four, said: "This is my home and my first big dream has come true.
"This is just the beginning for me, because I want to stay in the club as long as possible.
"I want to fulfill my dreams, improve as a player and help this club in any way I can."
Mirotic played for the Spanish at the U20 European Championship last summer and has thrust himself into contention for a senior team place this year with some dynamic, game-winning displays in the ACB and Europe.
"I'm very comfortable in the team," Mirotic said.
"I feel very fortunate to share a dressing room with great colleagues.
"We have a great group and I'm convinced the best is yet to come."
The emergence of Mirotic led to Jorge Garbajosa losing his place in the Madrid first team.
Garbajosa, one of the all-time great Spain national team players, recently left the club for Unicaja Malaga.
Mirotic recently declared for the NBA Draft but said at the time he was in no rush to cross the Atlantic and would be happy to remain in Europe.
