Spain ace Marc Gasol led the way with 27 points and seven rebounds for reigning EuroCup champions Akasvayu, who last weekend claimed the scalp of Tau Ceramica with a hard-fought home win.
Fernando San Emeterio, scorer of 21 points in that victory over Tau, added 13 points and six rebounds against ViveMenorca, whose leading light was once again American Chris Moss with 22 points and 10 boards.
Moss won three player of the week awards for ViveMenorca during the last campaign - all of them coming during a golden spell in the last month and a half of the regular season.
However, Estudiantes, who reached the final four of last season's EuroCup, were unable to follow up their opening-weekend victory over 2006 Spanish champions Unicaja Malaga as they were easily beaten 81-64 at AXA FC Barcelona.
