MADRID (ACB) - Quincy Lewis was rewarded for his best performance in an Etosa Alicante jersey this weekend by winning the ACB’s MVP of the week award.
The 29-year-old poured in 30 points - including four three-pointers - grabbed nine rebounds, handed out two assists and blocked three shots in Etosa’s 79-71 win over Caja San Fernando.
The effort earned Lewis his first MVP of the week award in the ACB, and it was also the best overall figures he has recorded in a game in his two spells at the Spanish club.
Lewis, who played for Team USA at the 1998 Goodwill Games, was selected by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 1999 NBA Draft.
He was not the highest individual points scorer of the round though, with that honour going to in-form Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada ace Andres Miso.
Lewis scored 34 points, hauled down five rebounds and dished out two assists to win his second successive award as the ACB’s best domestic player of the week.
However, it was not enough to pip Lewis to the overall award, nor was it good enough to prevent his Fuenlabrada side slumping to a 90-79 defeat at Gran Canaria Grupo Dunas.
