MADRID (ACB) - Bismack Biyombo may have played his last game at Fuenlabrada after deciding to leave Spain to play at the Nike Hoop Summit.
The 2.04m Biyombo played almost 22 minutes and had seven points, eight rebounds and four blocks in a 78-61 triumph over bottom side Menorca on Sunday but then informed his coach Salva Maldonado that he was leaving for the United States to play in next Saturday's Hoop Summit.
Last week, when it was understood that Biyombo would miss the Menorca and Asefa Estudiantes games, Fuenlabrada coach Salva Maldonado warned Biyombo that he would lose his place in the squad.
After Sunday's victory, Maldonado said: "In the locker room, he said he is going so the player has decided to leave the train and this train will not wait for him.
"Let's make it clear that he leaves the team.
"We will have to reinvent the team again."
Mexico international center Gustavo Ayon added 18 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for Fuenlabrada, who improved to 16-12 and held on to eighth place with the victory.
