MADRID (ACB/FIBA Americas Championship) - Hernan 'Pancho' Jasen hails from Argentina but for the past 10 years, he’s bled Estudiantes blue in Spain’s ACB.

    That’s about to change.

The 32-year-old Jasen, who will be out of contract this month, has revealed that he’s played his last game with Estu.

"Yes, I´m leaving,” he said to encestando.es.

“I have spent many years at Estudiantes and everything has an end.”

A true symbol of the club, Jasen has played in 454 games with the Madrid outfit – more than any other foreign player in the Estudiantes shirt.

    This season was difficult.

Jasen missed time with injuries and Estu didn’t finish in the top eight to qualify for the ACB play-offs.

“Everything that has happened this year has made me reconsider and change my ideas,” he said, without going into specifics.

“I need to leave, refresh a little bit and look for another team.

“I would like to be able to enjoy playing basketball because in the past few months, I have not been able to do that."

Jasen made an impressive FIBA World Championship debut with Argentina last year in Turkey, helping them achieve a fifth-place finish.

He was named by head coach Julio Lamas as one of several squad members for this summer's FIBA Americas Championship in Mar del Plata.

Jansen talked to FIBA.com earlier this year, expressing the hope that he’ll be in an Argentina side to compete at the London Olympics.
