ESP - Ailing Rubio uncertain for start of play-offs

BARCELONA (ACB) - Ricky Rubio could miss the beginning of the ACB play-offs with Regal Barcelona after limping out of Sunday's game against Unicaja Malaga with an apparent ankle injury.

The Spain national team point guard underwent medical tests on Monday and the club has announced that he is suffering from peroneal tenosynovitis.

"He will undergo medical treatment and depending on how he reacts, it will be decided when he is available to play," Barcelona said in a statement.

Barcelona, who lost to Unicaja on Sunday, will face them in a best-of-five opening round series with Game 1 on Thursday at the Palau Blaugrana.
