EGY - 2011 Olympic Solidarity Coaching Clinic reports

Egypt (Olympic Solidarity Technical course for coaches) – The technical course for coaches took place at the Olympic complex in Cairo from 16 - 22 December 2011. FIBA coaching instructor Mr Veselin Matic was appointed to run the clinic taught in front of almost 120 Egyptian coaches.

The course addressed a different topic every day with  zone defense, fastbreak, pick and roll offense and defence as well as the development of physical ability among those covered.

Both theory-based and practical seminars were incorporated into the schedule, which totalled to 41 hours of courses throughout the clinic’s total duration. A number of U16 players assisted and helped to conduct live demonstrations during the practical classes.
