BAXI Ferrol, Crvena Zvezda earn road wins; Galicka and Ezeigbo erupt

    Last year's shock finalists BAXI Ferrol won a shootout on Wednesday night in Sosnowiec

    The tension and exctiement continued; while two ballers showed out in spectacular fashion.

    MUNICH (Germany) - The entertainment soaked EuroCup Women Regular Season continued with more box-office clashes as last year's runners-up BAXI Ferrol found a high offensive gear to take care of MB Zaglebie Sosnowiec. There was also an action-packed ending between Emlak Konut as the visiting KKZ Crvena Zvezda who came up big in the last minute to also seal a road win.

    Meanwhile, Katarina Galickova erupted to inspire KP Brno in a thriller and Nneka Ezeigbo also put up a majestic double-double as Movistar Estudiantes outpaced CS Rapid Bucuresti.

    There are another 13 games to be played in Week 3 and these are scheduled for Thursday, October 23.

    Ferrol and Crvena Zvezda deliver; G-Force Galicka and amazing Ezeigbo

    Spanish side Ferrol celebrated an entertaining 90-83 success at Sosnowiec. In a game with 22 three-pointers across the teams, they also prospered from some nice inside work from Ireland national team leader, Claire Melia who racked up 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.

    Dalayah Daniels had a team-high 18 points and that was vital, while Sydney Taylor had a game-high 27 points including six triples but couldn't prevent Sosnowiec slipping up.

    Crvena Zvezda outlasted Emlak Konut 77-69 thanks to superior work in crunch time, with the result very much in the balance when trailing with just over 90 seconds remaining.

    But a 9-0 run to finish the game saw them through, as Dulcy Fankam had another fantastic game with 21 points and 11 rebounds. The control and veteran hand of Yvonne Anderson was also telling with a classy 16 points and 5 assists.

    Nneka Ezeigbo was sensational for Movistar Estudiantes as they scraped a hard-fought 65-61 victory against CS Rapid Bucuresti.

    Attaining a performance efficiency valuation of 40, she stepped off court with a monumental and what proved to be a game-winning 23 points and 19 rebounds.

    KP Brno had to hold their breath as they only just pipped BDS Dinamo Sassari 76-73 and it was a brilliant display from Katerina Galicka that wrapped up the victory. She recorded a stellar performance efficiency valuation of 39 after accumulating 25 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists in the contest and one that was tough to bear for Deauzya Richards who had 28 points and 9 boards in defeat.
