    CZE - Czechs continue preparations

    BRNO (FIBA World Championship for Women) - The Czech Republic gathered in Brno on Monday to continue their preparations for the FIBA World Championship for Women. Coach Jan Bobrovsky will hold a number of training sessions before the Czechs play friendly games against Belgium in Brno on August 8 and 9, and in Mikulov on August 10

    BRNO (FIBA World Championship for Women) - The Czech Republic gathered in Brno on Monday to continue their preparations for the FIBA World Championship for Women.

    Coach Jan Bobrovsky will hold a number of training sessions before the Czechs play friendly games against Belgium in Brno on August 8 and 9, and in Mikulov on August 10.

    "We will concentrate on running, shooting and learning tactics in defence, and mostly in offence," said Bobrovsky.

    After the three games against Belgium, the Czechs have another six days of training in Chomutov from August 14 before playing three matches against Canada.

    Borbovsky`s team will finish its preparations for the FIBA World Championship with two friendly matches against Australia and two against Russia in Brno at the end of the month.

    The Czech national team will play in the FIBA World Championship for the first time since 1990. The tournament will be hosted by Brazil and runs from September 12–23.

    Training squad: Irena Borecka, Michala Hartigova, Darina Johnova, Zuzana Klimesova, Petra Kulichova, Hana Machova, Marketa Mokrosova, Michaela Pavlickova, Michaela Uhrova, Ivana Vecerova, Jana Vesela, Eva Viteckova, Leona Krystofova, Katerina Krizova, Romana Stehlikova.
