PRAGUE (2010 FIBA World Championship for Women) – Czech Republic National Team head coach Lubor Blazek is in the USA to meet with star player Jana Vesela on Friday and find out when she will be joining her team-mates ahead of the FIBA World Championship for Women.

The 194cm forward plays for the Seattle Storms of the WNBA and Blazek will be in attendance when the league leaders (25-4) play away to the Connecticut Sun on Friday night.

After the game, the coach and player will discuss the important issues surrounding the host nation’s preparations for the FIBA World Championship for Women.

“I think that the visit will be useful for both of us,” said Blazek. “Firstly, I will see Jana playing and for her it is good to be in contact with the team and to know that we care about her.”

Also up for discussion will be Vesela’s fitness and when she expects to join up with the team.

"This is a question we will be discussing with the Storms head coach (Brian Agler). I need to know an approximate date when we can expect Jana to meet up with our national team,” added Blažek, who will leave on Monday to oversee his team’s preparations for their two preparation games against Poland in Jindrichuv Hradec.

“The trip is planned in such a way that I be with the team when they are play against Poland.”
