VALDIVIA (FIBA Americas Championship for Women) – Team Cuba will be facing USA (4:00 p.m.), who is the favorite to win the FIBA Americas Championship for Women and the direct berth for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

For Cuba, and their team captain, Yayma Boulet, there is no other choice but to face the challeng, and “do things right, without fear. Generally, we have played well against them”.

“Our main objective is to leave Chile with a medal, and for that we have been training very hard. We just arrived from Argentina, wherein we played two games, winning both of them, and luckily enough, we don’t have anyone injured on the team. We are excited, waiting for the tournament to Stara”, Boulet said.

The last game between the two teams was in the preliminary round in the Pan-American Games in Rio de Janeiro, with USA winning it. In Rio, Cuba won bronze.

    Does USA have any weakness?

"They don’t have weakness, not that I know of. They practically play perfect, because they all know what to do on the court. But if we face them without fear, there is the chance of us defeating them”.
