CPV - 2008 Olympic Solidarity Coaching Clinic reports

CAPE VERDE (Olympic Solidarity Basketball Coaching Clinic) - The Olympic Solidarity Basketball Coaching Clinic was held from January 10 to 19, 2008. The course was given at a beginners’ level. The expert was M. Joaquin Brizuela (ESP).

This was the second time that the federation organized a clinic. This time there were 21 participants. The course was held in Spanish and Portuguese, there was a need for interpretation. The covered topics were: defensive skills 1 on 1; offense against zone; fast break and transition play; mini basketball; defense 2x2; defense 3x3; box defense; offense; offense 2x2 and offense 3x3.

The theoretical courses were held at the Cap Vert Football stadium and the practical courses in the Pavilion “Vava Duarte”. The coaches did the demonstrations themselves.
