KAOHSIUNG – The race for the FIBA 3x3 Pro Circuit 2026 heats up again as the FIBA 3x3 Kaohsiung Challenger 2026 brings a loaded international field to SKM Park Outlets Kaohsiung on September 5-6, with three coveted tickets to FIBA 3x3 World Tour Deqing 2026 up for grabs. As the 21st Challenger of the season, Kaohsiung represents another major opportunity for teams to turn a strong weekend into a place on the World Tour.
Elite contenders collide
The tournament features a deep field packed with established 3x3 powerhouses, led by Antwerp (BEL), who enter Kaohsiung ranked third overall in the 2026 season standings. The Belgians, though, have already pre-qualified to WT Deqing via the Bordeaux Challenger 2026.
Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU), currently ninth, will provide one of the biggest challenges, while Toronto (CAN) and Cibona Ph.Classic (CRO) arrive ranked 14th and 16th respectively. Crvena Zvezda (SRB), Barcelona (ESP) and hosts Taipei WanBao (TPE) add further quality, with Princeton (USA) also in the mix as they continue their search for a first FIBA 3x3 World Tour appearance of the season. Toronto have also pre-qualified to WT Deqing, this time via the Quest Fribourg 3x3 Festival.
With three World Tour berths available, every game carries significant weight. The single-elimination intensity of 3x3 means there will be little room for teams to find their rhythm later in the weekend. They will need to deliver from the opening check.
Star power across the court
Kaohsiung will also showcase an impressive collection of international talent.
Antwerp will look to Dennis Donkor to lead the charge, while Raudondvaris will rely on the experience and production of Ignas Vaitkus. Toronto's Westher Molteni brings veteran know-how to a Canadian side capable of causing problems against any opponent.
Barcelona will have Nil Bria directing their attack, while hosts Taipei can count on the explosive shooting of Mike Efevberha as they look to make home advantage count.
There is no shortage of firepower elsewhere, either. Milos Antic will be one to watch for Crvena, Roko Spaseski provides another key piece for Cibona, and Princeton will lean on FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2026 winner Justin Pierce as they chase a breakthrough World Tour qualification.
