MADRID (FIBA Basketball World Cup) - As he has been doing right throughout the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski is keeping his approach simple and straight ahead of Sunday's Final.

"We'll win if we are worthy of winning. And I think we are worthy of winning," he said about Sunday finale to Spain 2014, which will see his team aim to retain the world title won in 2010 in Turkey.

"We've played some great teams so far. We are playing another great team now. I think two very good teams are playing the Final.

Serbia are really as good as anybody in the tournament, and probably the hottest team. And they are playing a high level. - Krzyzewski

"They have stars on their team. Their big guys are good. They are well coached, and they are strong. They can hurt you from many different positions, but they are just playing great basketball right now.

"Actually it's beautiful to see (the way Serbia play). I hope I don't see that beauty (against the USA). They've been playing lights out basketball."

Klay Thompson, the key factor in the USA's Semi-Final win over Lithuania, echoed his coach's views on the Americans' opponents on Sunday.

"I've seen them (Serbia). They play well as a team together," said the Golden State Warriors guard who is a leading contender to be named the tournament's MVP.

We know Serbia are not intimidated by the US. We know we are going to get their best game. - Thompson

"They really shoot the ball well. They play with a great sense of pride, and they play physical."

The USA have won 44 games in a row at in all international competitions dating back to their 96-81 win over Argentina in the Third-Place Game at the 2006 FIBA World Championship.

They won all 10 of their games at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship, all eight games at both the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics and all their nine games at the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

They have won all eight of their games so far at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. But Krzyzewski was quick to point out that no team is invicible.

"No one is unbeatable, in anything. Anyone who thinks they are unbeatable is going to get beat," he said.

"We have a very good team and we are going to play against a very good team. They (Serbia) are older than we are, they have been together longer than we have. I hope we are unbeatable (on Sunday night), but we go into the game never having that mindset, ever, ever, ever."

Kenneth Faried, one of the sparks in the USA's offense, said that team will only be unstoppable if they play to their abilities.

"We're just going to come out and play every game like we have been playing. If we play that way, then yeah, we probably will be unstoppable," said the Denver Nuggets power forward who is averaging 12.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

"They (Serbia) made it to the championship round when other teams thought they couldn't, and we made it to the championship round while other teams thought we may fall. We are just going to go out there and put it all on the floor, just to win the gold."
