CMR - Adala Moto growing up with the Demon Deacons

WINSTON SALEM (NCAA/AfroBasket) - Cameroon have already benefitted from the electric play of high-scoring guard Parfait Bitee in international basketball.

The Yaounde native played big minutes at AfroBasket 2007 and helped his homeland reach the Final to earn a place at the 2008 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Athens, where he averaged more than 15 points per game.

Bitee also competed at the AfroBaskets in 2009 and 2011.

Now the 1.92m guard's younger brother, Arnaud William Adala Moto, looks a good bet to have an impact on the Cameroon national side in the years to come.

Just as Bitee did, Adala Moto is honing his skills in the American college game.

Bitee played for the Rhode Island Rams while Adala Moto is developing at Wake Forest University, the school where NBA superstar Tim Duncan shot to fame.

Adala Moto had arguably the best performance of his career on Sunday, helping his team with scoring and on the boards as the Demon Deacons won 73-67 over the University of North Carolina.

"Arnaud grew up a lot today; nine rebounds (and) 11 points, all in 18 minutes," Wake Forest coach Jeff Bzdelik said.

He also put his struggles at free-throw line behind him.

Shooting just 43% at the charity stripe before the game with the Tar Heels, Adala Moto nailed all four of his attempts in the final minute to help the Deacs seal victory.

Adala Moto is only in his sophomore season, which means he has two additional years with the Deacs to enhance his status.

He's certainly a player that Cameroon fans will want to monitor.
