BEIJING (CBA) - Guangdong hero Zhu Fangyu has been named MVP of 2007-08 CBA season.

Zhu, who averaged 29.2 points during the CBA Finals, is the first player to win the MVP award in both the regular season and the
    play-offs.

After receiving the honor, he paid tribute to his father for helping him develop into one of China’s top stars.

He said to TITAN: "I didn't play very well for the first two games last season, but then I became more stable. Many people around me encouraged me all the time, but my dad is the person who influences me the most.

"He always said, when you are not playing well, adjust your attitude.

When you are playing well, keep your character and play aggressive." Zhu is expected to represent China this summer at the Beijing Olympics.
