    BEIJING (CBA) - Zhejiang Golden Lions stunned DongGuan Leopards 120-103 at home in the only upset as Xinjiang Flying Tigers, Guangdong Tigers and Jiangsu Dragons all scored away wins in round one of the CBA Play-offs on Wednesday.

    Xinjiang routed Beijing Ducks 112-78 and Guangdong overcame Bayi Rockets 95-89, while Jiangsu needed the Overtime to beat Zhejiang Cyclones 100-95.

    Going into their game as underdogs, against a team that tied for the second spot in the Regular Season, the Golden Lions opened their game against DongGuan raking up a 35-27 lead in the first quarter.

    DongGuan replied with a 28-16 run in the second to take a 55-51 lead.

    But Zhejiang regained their lead in style with a 33-23 run in the third and went on to close the game with a 36-25 run for a 17-point win.

    Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos led the Golden Lions with 32 points and 15 rebounds. Taipei’s Lin Chih-chieh had 31 points.

    Josh Emmanuel Akognon saw his round-high 46 points for DongGuan go in vain. Courtney Simms, coming to replace the injured Lebanese-American Jackson Vroman as DongGuan’s second import had a mere 11 points.

    Jiangsu’s successful rally

    Jiangsu trailed Zhejiang Cyclones 63-66 at the end of three quarters before rallying to level the scores at 85 before securing the win in the Overtime.

    Yi Li and Antoine Wright scored 26 points each, the latter also collecting 14 rebounds for Jiangsu.
    Marcus Williams had 33 points for Zhejiang.

    Douby shines for Xinjiang

    Quincy Douby’s 38-point game-high led regular season champions Xinjiang’s win against Beijing.
    James Singleton, the second import had 26 points.

    Jordanian star Zaid Abbaas and American Randolph Morris each accounted for 20 points for Beijing.

    Lester Hudson and Marcus Haislip scored 15 points apiece as Guangdong took early charge of the proceedings against Bayi and cruised along.

    Veteran Wang ZhiZhi’s valiant 30-point game-high went in vain for Bayi.

    The second games of the best-of-five quarterfinals will be played on Friday.
