    BEIJING (FIBA Asia Championship) - Yi Jianlian looked in impressive form as he made his first appearance of the year for China, scoring 30 points in an 87-67 victory over an Australian All-Star team.

    Yi, coming off a campaign season where he averaged 8.6 points and 5.3 rebounds for the New Jersey Nets in the NBA, played 30 minutes of the game at Beijing's Quighau University, adding three rebounds and two assists.

    Yi will be asked to lead China's offense at next month's tournament with Yao Ming sidelined by long-term injury.

    Wang Zhizhi also looked to be in good touch as China continue their preparations to host the FIBA Asia Championship next month, The Bayi Rockets man collected 11 points and six rebounds in 16 minutes, while Li Xiaoxu also scored in double figures with 10 points in 15 minutes of action.

    Zhu Fangyu did not feature as the Guangdong Southern Tigers guard remains sidelined with an injury, although he remains on course to return in time for the tournament in Tianjian, starting on August 6.

    China will play two more games against the Australians before the weekend.

    China have been drawn in Group C of the tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the 2010 FIBA World Championship, alongside Kazakhstan, Qatar and India.
