BEIJING (Olympics) - Xu Yong should be in the Chinese national team lineup when it goes for a medal at the Olympics later this year.

There have been recent concerns about Xu’s health, but his agent has allayed fears that he could be seriously ill.

"When Xu Yong was training in the US at the end of this February, the doctor found a cyst at the back of his left leg closing to the knee,” the agent, who is unnamed, is quoted as saying in the Beijing Times.

"He went home immediately and had received puncture sampling, and was diagnosed.

"The doctors have now ruled out the possibility that the cyst is a malignant tumor or an intermediate-grade malignant one.

"Xu Yong is resting at home, and doesn't feel unfit."
