    BEIJING (CBA) - The Chinese CBA has had a lot of blowouts this season but in Game 3 of the play-off finals, Xinjiang beat Guangdong in a thriller.

    Juan Mendez poured in 32 points and pulled down 17 rebounds and former China center Mengke Bateer scored 17 and hauled in 11 boards as Xinjiang scraped a 98-95 victory.

    They now trail in the best-of-seven series 2-1.

    Myron Allen also scored 26 points for Xinjiang, who dominated the boards against the defending champions.

    They finished with 46 rebounds to just 27 for Guangdong.

    China international Wang Shipeng had 25 points and Smush Parker 20 for Guangdong.
