BEIJING (CBA) - Jilin aren't flying high in China but for at least one day, they had the CBA's scoring machine.
Leon Rodgers, who played his college basketball in the United States at Northern Illinois, did his best imitation of Kobe Bryant and erupted for 63 points to lead Jilin past Zhejiang Cyclones 109-92 in the latest round.
Rodgers put up 15 shots from long range and nailed eight.
Zhejiang also had a player who hit the half-century mark. Their Kirk Snyder drilled seven of 15 from behind the arc and finished with 50 points.
Jilin are 20-25 and in 13th place while Zhejiang are one rung below them on the ladder in 14th at 18-27.
Ninth-place Bayi, who are hoping to get into the play-off spots, improved their chances of a top-eight finish with a 109-92 triumph over Shanghai.
Li Ke buried four of five shots from behind the arc on his way to a game-high 37 points.
Wang Lei contributed 22 points with nine rebounds and Xu Zhonghao scored 18.
China international Wang Zhizhi played 16 minutes and scored nine.
DaJuan Tate led Shanghai (6-39) with 31 points and 10 boards.
Defending CBA champions Guangdong and Xinjiang are each 40-5 and at the top of the table.
Guangdong won 116-95 over Qingdao and Xinjiang rolled to a 102-82 triumph over Shaanxi.
Third-place Jiangsu were blown away 120-102 by sixth-place Zhejiang Guangsha (26-19).
