Leaders Guangdong improved their record to 22-4 with a 113-90 success over Beijing. The home side dominated from tip-off and held a 65-51 lead at half-time, before another spurt of energy in the final 10 minutes sealed the 23-point winning margin.

Chinese star Yi Jianlian totalled 40 points and 13 rebounds for Guangdong, while Men Wei was Beijing’s leading scorer with 21 points.

Bayi also hold a 22-4 record thanks to a resounding 122-89 triumph over Shandong.

There was little to choose between the two teams in the first half with Bayi holding a 49-47 advantage at the interval.

But the hosts raced away in the final stages and a 38-16 run in the final quarter capped the winning performance.

Mo Ke led all scorers with 38 points for Bayi, but Shandong’s response was disappointing with 16 points from Herve Lamizana the best they could muster.

Jiangsu (20-5) fought back from a first-quarter deficit to post an impressive 105-73 win over Zhejiang Wanma.

Meng Da contributed 30 points and six rebounds for Jiangsu, who outscored their opponents 61-35 in the second half.

At the other end of the table, 42 points from Yu Junkai was not enough for Yunnan, who fell to a 121-112 defeat against Shanxi Zhongyu in the basement battle.

God Shammgod replied with 45 points for Zhongyu, who now boast one more win than their opponents.

Zhejiang Guangsha crumbled to a 133-95 loss at Liaoning despite a game-high 33 points from Gabe Muoneke, while 36 points and 11 rebounds from Lorenzo Coleman steered Xinjiang to a 125-96 triumph over Dongguan.

Fujian scraped past Shanxi 91-82 thanks to 27 points from Chris Porter, and Jilin posted a 110-94 victory over Shanghai with Du Jiang and Han Lei both totalling 26 points for the winners.
