CHN - Beijing holds 2010-2014 FIBA Global Partner Recommendation & Promotion Summit

BEIJING (2014 FIBA World Championship) - The Bid Committee of 2014 FIBA World Championship for Men is actively boosting preparations for bid.

The 2010-2014 FIBA Global Partner Recommendation &Promotion Summit was held on 8th May 2009 in Beijing. More than 20 famous enterprises from China and abroad attended the summit and many global media also attended.

The summit was presided by Mr. Mu Dawei, Vice President of CBA (Chinese Basketball Association). Mr. Sun Kanglin, Vice President of Beijing Bid Committee for the 2014 FIBA World Championship, and Ms. Xulan, the representative of CBA presented their speeches during the summit.

“Biding for the 2014 FIBA World Championship will widely promote basketball in Beijing and China and provide the chance for many enterprises in China and abroad to efficiently promote their products.

Mr. Sun Kanglin said, “We would like to show strong aspiration of China’s bid for 2014 FIBA World Championship and also, we will choose one global partner before May 23.”

On behalf of CBA, Ms. Xulan said,” I hope there are more and more enterprises and medias supporting Beijing’s bid through the summit, many enterprises are expected to enhance the development of Basketball in China and the whole world in using the platform of the FIBA World Championship.

Many enterprises showed strong interest and cooperative intention to a global FIBA partnership.

FIBA will make a decision on the hosting country for the 2014 World Championship on 23rd May in Geneva. Bidding countries are China, Italy and Spain.
