NINGBO (CBA Women) - Bayi Dabo thrashed Liaoning Hengye 92-68 to sweep the CBA Women’s League play-off finals 3-0.
The triumph marked Bayi’s fifth title in the competition which began in 2002. Liaoning's women (the Liaoning men's team lost in the CBA Finals this season to Guangdong) won last year’s crown, while Bayi had won the CBA titles from 2002 to 2005.
Chen Na tore apart Liaoning with 31 points in the championship-clinching triumph while Sui Feifei weighed in with 25.
Liaoning’s Ma Zengyu had 15 and Wang Ling 12.
The contest had been level at 36-36 but Bayi pulled away. Victory was effectively sealed with 10 minutes to go and Bayi on top, 67-48.
