SANTIAGO (Dimayor) - The Chilean Dimayor league has new leaders after Universidad de Concepcion and Provincial Osorno both hit the summit after three win in the past week.
Chris Sockwell netted 22 points to help Guillermo Narvarte's Concepcion defeat Universidad Catolica 77-67 on Sunday night for their third win on the bounce.
Concepcion previous victories came with a 90-84 triumph over Deportivo Espanol on Wednesday before they defeated Liceo Mixto 89-84 on Saturday.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Provincial Osorno beat Provincial Llanquihue 101-90 in midweek as Larry Florence netted 27 points and Marlon Martinez poured in 25.
Osorno then claimed a 122-107 triumph over arch-rivals Ancud in a thrilling derby that saw Cristian Perez top-score with 34 points and Martinez contribute 32.
On Sunday, Florence weighed in with 23 points as Carlos Schwarzenberg's team defeated Castro 90-81.
Concepcion and Osorno lead the Second Stage on 19.5 points, with Deportivo Valdivia, Liceo Mixto and Puente Alto each on 19 points.
Valdivia destroyed Union Espanola 98-68 on Wednesday before the winning streak continued against Boston College, 82-77.
On Sunday night, Mario Spada's side beat Puente Alto 75-72 thanks in part to 17 points from Brandon Mason.
Liceo Mixto beat Universidad Catolica 87-74 on the road but slipped up on Sunday with a 76-69 reverse against Deportivo Espanol.
Finally, Puente Alto won 87-81 at Boston College, while Jefferson Agba netted 28 points to help Carlos Iglesias' team defeat Union Espanola 118-108.
