PARIS (The Monday International Show) - It's a precarious tightrope you walk between using your celebrity to make millions and then refusing your celebrity when the fans become cumbersome.

Even at my small level of notoriety, I learned a long time ago that refusing to sign even one autograph will get you alot of unnecessarily bad publicity through the powerful word of mouth grapevine, so you're better off just signing! And Tony and Eva would have been smarter image-wise to take a few seconds to wave and smile to several hundred groupies (many of whom probably bought Tony's rap album) gathered in front of city hall or in front of the church.

Thusly, the uninvited guests to the wedding ended up booing their idols who refused to acknowledge them as they barricaded themselves behind temporary walls of dark plywood and the limousines tinted windows, protected by French police and an impressive private security contingent.

Fairy tale wedding or not, exclusive magazine contract aside, wasn't all this a bit too much? This very public and mediatized royal couple of the happy few forgot the general public! And so terminated the typical materialistic, jet set clichè weekend of private planes, St. Tropez yachts, palaces and fashionable discotheques then a castle reception near Paris.

Critics might see all this as so " nouveaux riches ".

I guess alot of people see this as a dream life... aw, what the heck, live and let live! At least this permitted Tony to generously offer a luxurious weekend to his family and inner circle.

Anyway, I hope the lovebirds will be forever united and happy.

Over in Phoenix, the best man Boris Diaw's team, I wonder how united and happy the new GM Steve Kerr is with an owner who doesn't want to pay the luxury tax and a coaching staff that dreams of uniting Nash and Garnett for a final three- year title window.

For two years the Suns have neglected the draft so free agent signings and trades are the only solutions for getting better.

Grant Hill for James Jones at the 3 is an upgrade and the arrival of KG for Marion and Thomas, for example, would shift the offensive emphasis away from 3 pt. barrages to more of a mid-range and interior game.

Garnett would have to learn to play more on the move and Diaw and Barbosa would give needed punch off the bench.

It would be nice to add Papaloukas or Navarro to this mix but Moscow and Washington want to hold on to their pearls! I'll conclude with another united and happy team, Chicago, which re-signed Nocioni, who, when healthy and on-target anew, will help propulse the Bulls into the next NBA finals vs. why not, the Suns!
